Chris's Opinions : The Microsoft Trial
Sitting in Starbucks this morning reading the New York Times coverage
of the Microsoft Trial I came to a basic realisation. From everything
I've read, I realised that I truly believe that the Microsoft
employees who have been cross-examined by David Boies have lied
repeatedly under oath about many many aspects of the trial. This seems
to me a much simpler and more damning issue than any of their alleged
anti-competitive practices. In 1996 I published something midly
hostile to Microsoft in my review of Hackers by
Steven Levy so there is no point me now pretending to be unbiased,
I am not, but if this thought hadn't occurred to you before, why not
go to the coverage of the trial by The New York Times
and decide for yourself (registration with that site required).
